Rattles & Rainsticks

Rainsticks & rattles are traditional instruments with roots in Indigenous cultures around the world. Rainsticks, often associated with South American ceremonial practices, create a gentle sound reminiscent of falling rain and were used in rituals connected to nature and renewal. Rattles, made from natural materials such as gourds, seeds or shells, have been used for thousands of years in healing, spiritual, and ceremonial traditions to focus attention, mark rhythm and support meditation. In my sound healing work, both are used in sound healing to promote relaxation, grounding and mindfulness.
