What is sound healing?
We believe sound can help calm the nervous system and create the conditions for deep rest, relaxation and reconnection. Sound healing isn't about someone else ‘fixing’ you — it's about supporting your body and mind to slow down, settle and reconnect with their own natural capacity for healing.
Who benefits from our training?
Our sound healing training is designed for a diverse range of people. You might be a wellness professional wanting to expand your skills, an experienced practitioner looking to deepen your knowledge, or someone who has recently purchased a sound healing instrument and wants to learn how to play it with confidence.
And you don't need to be a practitioner at all. If you're simply curious about sound, love meditation, or feel drawn to exploring the possibilities of sound healing, you are very welcome. Whether you're taking your first steps or building on years of experience, this training meets you where you are.
About your instructor
Cheryl Farthing has been teaching and working in yoga, meditation and sound healing for more than 30 years, with over 20 years of experience working specifically with sound.
Her journey began with yoga and meditation, training as an Iyengar Yoga teacher, iRest Yoga Nidra teacher, Coach and Reiki Master before developing a deeper interest in the therapeutic and experiential qualities of sound.
Cheryl brings extensive hands-on experience to her teaching. She has created sound journey experiences for retreats, yoga classes, funerals, corporate events, private gatherings and celebrations, as well as working one-to-one with people seeking rest, relaxation and nervous system regulation.
Her approach is practical, inclusive and grounded in experience. She believes good sound healing is not about following a formula or making grand promises — it's about understanding your instruments, learning how to use sound safely and confidently, and developing your own ability to create calming, immersive experiences for others.
